KingsbarnsThis adventure was a Golfer’s Dream! In 2013 We took a 10-night cruise from Dublin to Hamburg on the Azamara Quest playing five rounds of golf in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Perry Golf partnered with Azamara on this 142nd British Open Golf Cruise Explorer. The highlight of the trip was attending the final round of The Open on Sunday, July 21 at Muirfield watching Phil win!
The Azamara Quest holds just 694 passengers, a mid-sized beauty with a deck plan well-suited to the needs of modern voyagers. Staterooms feature modern amenities, furnishings, and European linens. And one of the greatest features of this ship is the large number of staterooms with verandas. Having sailed with Azamara before, we knew we’d be pleased with the ship and amenities.
And Perry Golf is the best in the business when it comes to international golf travel. We played the K Club, Palmer Course in Dublin, Royal County Down in Belfast, The Carrick on Loch Lomond in Greenock, Scotland, Castle Stuart Golf Links along the shores of the Moray Firth east of Inverness and Kingsbarns Golf Links near Edinburgh, Scotland. Perry Golf took care of every detail, tee times, caddies, mini tournaments, and all social gatherings for the 80 golfers onboard.
We visited St Andrews and walked the Old Course soaking up all the fabulous memories of tournaments past. Certainly a trip of a lifetime!
